Sensors for Box Installation
The term "box solution" refers to
the integration of sensor technol-
ogy in an accessory box that gen-
erates the mechanical coupling of
the sensors on adjustment drives
of different dimensions.
This solution was developed to
prevent the sensors from being di-
rectly exposed to the environment
and therefore allows the use of
standard sensors.
Most reputable drive manufactur-
ers offer standard boxes that are fitted with Pepperl+Fuchs sensors, ei-
ther with or without optical display.

Standard sensors
For box installation, Pepperl+Fuchs offers cylindrical standard sen-
sors with short housing lengths up to 40 mm and slot sensors
with a slot width of 3.5 mm, along with sensors from the V3 series.
These are square-shaped sensors in standard dimensions for me-
chanical micro switches. Standard DC versions and NAMUR ver-
sions are available with an extended temperature range (up to
-50
°C to +100 °C).
Position feedback sensors for box installation
The F25 sensor series by
Pepperl+Fuchs offers an effective
alternative for position feedback on
valve actuators.
They combine two devices as

double sensors" in one housing,
significantly reducing the mounting
and maintenance effort.
