Function
This hollow shaft encoder was specially developed
for use in regions heavily influenced by maritime
conditions or for offshore use.
The sea-waterproof coated housing material and the
316
L stainless steel shaft are perfectly suited for
these tough environmental influences. The internal
electronics also meet these high requirements.
The durable metal disc ensures that the encoder
can be used for applications exposed to extreme
shock and vibration loads. High line counts of up to
2500
pulses/revolution allow for use in applications
with demanding requirements in terms of measure-
ment accuracy and resolution.
The robust properties of the hollow shaft encoder
are appropriately present in the extremely sturdy
plastic bushing as well. The bushing electrically iso-
lates the rotary encoder from the shaft, thereby pre-
venting unwanted shunt currents.
