.NET Framework Version 1.1 Full Install

This software package comprises the material to install Microsoft .NET framework 1.1. The user expressly acknowledges and agrees that he is installing and using the provided material at his own sole risk. We provide no remedies or warranties, whether express or implied, for the material. It is provided “as is” without warranty, term or condition of any kind. Information on the different material can be received through www.microsoft.com.

Material 1: .NET Framework Version 1.1 'dotnetfx.exe'

Material 2: .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB867460) 'NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe'

Material 3: .NET Framework 1.1 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix rollup package (KB887540) 'NDP1.1sp1-KB887540-X86.exe'

Installation process

• Click the download link ".NET Framework 1.1 Full Install" on www.pepperl-fuchs.com to start the download

• Unzip the downloaded ZIP file to a folder of your choice

• Run the "setup.exe" program in this folder and wait for the SETUP start screen

• Click on each of the 3 installation packages in the window to the left to highlight them all

• Click to the Button "Install selected applications" to start the installation procedure

• Follow all 3 installation instructions on the screen and if necessary confirm the asked questions

• Wait for all 3 packages to complete the installation

• .NET framework 1.1 + Service Pack 1 + hotfix rollup package installation is now completed

Additional Notes

• PACTware 3.0/3.5 as .NET application requires the .NET framework 1.1 to run

• .NET applications will not run unless the correct .NET framework is installed the application was developed with

• .NET features the parallel installation and peacefully co-existing operation of different major revisions of .NET packages e.g. .NET 1.1 or 2.0 or 3.0 or 3.5 on the same computer.

• The installation of .NET frameworks in higher versions like 2.0 or 3.5 does not include the version 1.1 implicitly, which makes a separate installation of .NET framework 1.1 necessary in any case.

• If you have never installed .NET 1.1 prior to a higher version e.g. 2.0 or 3.5 you may run into installation problems. In this case uninstall .NET 2.0 or 3.5, install 1.1 afterwards and re-install 2.0 or 3.5 again.
