LBFB
HART IP
DTM Setup Collection
The outer installation package
contains a HART IP Communication DTM and a LBFB Device DTM. The Communication
DTM establishes a connection via HART IP, while the Device DTM provides the
Software components for LBFB Gateway and LBFB IO Module. HART devices can then
be connected to the individual channels of the LBFB IO module, which can be
addressed via their field device DTMs.
The following figure shows a typical project structure in PACTware as soon as
the DTMs are installed and activated.

With LBFB Gateway and LBFB IO Module, only those functions are implemented that are necessary for the operation of the HART field devices, i.e. no additional settings of the I/O modules.

Compatibility Notes
• The Pepperl+Fuchs LBFB DTM Library (HART) supports the following FDT Frames:
• PACTware 4.1/5.0
System resources
Proper execution of the DTMs requires a standard PC with at least following system resources:
• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor with at least 2 cores
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• Screen Resolution at least 1024x768 pixels
Operating systems
The DTMs of the DTMlibrary will run under the following operating systems:
• Windows 7
• Windows 10
Hard disk space
The Pepperl+Fuchs HART-IP Communication V2 requires approx. 100 MB hard disk space.
